Born in Argentina and raised in Miami since the age of ten, Ayelen “China” Colazo has built her life around passion, community, and heart. From a young age, sports played a defining role in shaping who she is—teaching her discipline, teamwork, and perseverance. A lifelong athlete and devoted soccer enthusiast, China always believed that sports have the power to unite people, uplift spirits, and open doors to unexpected friendships.
But it wasn’t until she became a mother that those beliefs took on a deeper, more personal meaning. Her daughter, Zoe Rodriguez—the youngest special athlete of the Nirvana Project—became her greatest inspiration and teacher. Together, they embarked on a journey filled with both challenges and triumphs, learning that love, resilience, and purpose are the strongest forces that can move mountains.

Through her role as Public Relations lead for the Nirvana Project, China now channels her energy into giving back to the community that gave her so much. Her work goes beyond communications—it’s about storytelling, advocacy, and connection. Every message she shares carries the same warmth and sincerity that defines her approach to life.
